Great music teachers
are right here.
DV Music Lessons connects students of all ages with talented local teachers in Wilmington and Dover. Whether you're just starting out or picking back up after years away — we'll help you find the right fit.
The right teacher
changes everything.
Tell us what you're looking for — instrument, experience level, when you're available — and we'll match you with teachers in the valley who fit. No browsing endless directories. No cold calls. Just good matches.
Matched to you, specifically
We factor in your instrument, age, experience level, location preference, and availability — so you only see teachers who are actually a fit.
Real teachers, right here
Every teacher on DV Music Lessons is based in or teaches in Wilmington and Dover. No remote-only instructors, no one three towns over — unless that's what you want.
Get to know them before you commit
Read their bio, see what they teach, watch their intro video. When you're ready to reach out, their contact info is right there. No gatekeeping.
Completely free
No subscription, no finder's fee, no platform cut. DV Music Lessons is a free community resource, supported by Friends of Historic Memorial Hall.
I've been teaching guitar in the valley for 12 years. I work with beginners from age 6 all the way through adults — acoustic, folk, fingerpicking, a little electric. I love the moment when something clicks for a student.
The students are here.
Are you?
One of the biggest reasons teachers don't offer lessons locally is simple: they don't know if there's enough demand. We're building the proof. Sign up and see exactly what students in the valley are looking for.
One requirement: you teach here.Every teacher on DV Music Lessons commits to giving lessons in Wilmington or Dover — whether that's a home studio, the student's home, or another local space. We can't have students matched with teachers who then try to pull them to a studio in Brattleboro or elsewhere. If you don't have a local space yet and need help finding one, check the box when you sign up and we'll work on it with you. But if you can't commit to teaching lessons in the valley, this isn't the right fit — and that's okay.
You control your schedule
Set the days and times you're available, and we only match you with students who fit. No surprise requests at 7am on a Monday.
Your profile, your story
Write your own bio, list your instruments and experience, upload a photo, and add an intro video. Students get to know you before they even reach out.
We notify matched students when you go live
The moment your profile is approved, any students who match your criteria get an email. No waiting around hoping someone stumbles on your listing.
Direct contact, no middleman
Matched students reach out directly — email, phone, however you prefer. We're a matchmaker, not a gatekeeper. The relationship is yours.
Music education
belongs in the valley.
The Deerfield Valley has talented musicians. It has families and individuals who want to learn. What it's been missing is a way to connect them.
DV Music Lessons was built to fix that. It's not a national platform or a VC-backed startup — it's a free community resource built specifically for Wilmington and Dover, Vermont, run by people who actually live here.
We're just getting started. The more students who sign up, the better we can demonstrate to teachers that there's a real student pool here. The more teachers who list, the faster students find the right match. This only works if the community shows up — and we think it will.
